Deciding whether to choose pet cremation or burial is a deeply personal decision. Whether or not it is right for you, your family and your pet will depend on many factors including your religious beliefs, your financial situation, and what you are comfortable with
There are advantages and disadvantages to both cremation and burial. For most people, cremation is the disposition of choice when it comes to pets. That’s because in general, cremation is more economical.
But remember you do not need to leave arrangement to your veterinarian practice, after all, all they will do is arrange the services for you, you will find it more economical to go direct and almost certainly get your beloved pet home sooner. You are within your rights to request your vets to use a certain cremation service provider, some will do this for you, but it’s only a phone call. We will collect your pet direct from your veterinary practice or from your home.
Pet Cremation:
· Pet Cremation can be an economical alternative to burial.
· Having your pet cremated doesn’t mean you can’t have a memorial.
· As a private pet crematorium, we can help you take care of your pet. Most Veterinary practices will make arrangements for you, however you do not need to arrange this via your veterinary practice, going direct can be more economical, and you will most certainly have your pet back home sooner. We aim to return all pets within 24-48 hours
· You can choose whether or not to have cremains returned to you.
· Remember that if you bury at home you may not be able to take your pet’s remains with you if you move.
Pet Cremation
Because of its affordability and accessibility, cremation is often the first choice for final disposition of pets. If your pet has passed with a veterinarian while you were working, you may prefer the vet handle the cremation arrangements, but remember this can be costlier and can often take a couple of weeks, if your pet has died at home or you would prefer to handle the arrangements yourself, you can contact a pet cremation facility directly. When you work directly with a cremation provider, we will work with you to make the experience as easy for you as possible. As a responsible crematorium we will handle the transportation of your pet to our facility and return the remains to you when the process is complete. You should not be made to feel uncomfortable about asking questions. We want to make sure that you fully understand what will happen to your pet and do everything we can to make sure that your wishes are respected.
There are several types of pet cremation. Be sure to talk with your vet or us to make sure that you understand what services are offered and that you can choose the style of cremation that is best for you, your family, and your pet.
· Private (Individual) Cremation: In a private cremation only one pet is cremated at a time. Your pet will be placed in the cremation chamber alone. This type of cremation ensures that the remains you receive back are not mixed with those of other animals. Our Cremations are recorded by CCTV ensuring 100% private cremation.
· Communal (Group) Cremation: With communal cremation, the bodies of several pets are placed together in the chamber and cremated together. With communal cremation, we will accept responsibility for disposing of the ashes. Ashes are not returned to you with this type of service.
If you would like to attend the cremation, you are able to do that. Ask us about witnessing the process. We will talk you through what this involves and make the appropriate arrangements.
Lost a Pet or Found a lost Pet Let us know and we will enter it on the UK National Pet Register in the hope we can find them for you.
